February 26, 2026 - An overlooked aspect of many industrial networks is switching. You can deploy the strongest Wi-Fi 7 Access Points, but without a proper data supply, you are nowhere. The same applies to Private 5G. An organization that knows industrial switching better than any other is Alcatel Lucent Enterprise (ALE). At the start of 2026, they have 12 models to choose from, and 3 more are on the way! We have collected them all for you in this article.
ALE is not just a major player in industrial switching. They also have dozens of switches, such as the OS6360, for offices and schools. All 12 of ALE's industrial switches are unique due to their water- and dust-resistant housing (IP30) and support for PROFINET; which makes it possible to establish connections with PLC, DCS, and IPC.
Is this a lot of abracadabra? See the image below for an example of an industrial network. An industrial switch, the OS6465-P12, is used here to connect both a robotic arm with PLC and multiple AGVs and walkie-talkies via a Private 5G AP, the AP21 from Celona. Thanks to the close partnership between Celona and ALE, you can manage both the OS6465-P12 and the AP21 with OmniVista Cirrus 10.

The OS6465-P12 is one of the 12 industrial switches from ALE and part of the OS6465 series introduced in 2018. Below you will find all 5 series, from newest to oldest.

The most important factor for your choice is the equipment you want to connect to the industrial switch. For instance, a CCTV network is sufficient with a switch with a lower PoE budget, such as the OS6465 or OS6465T, while for a Private 5G network, you are better off choosing the OS6575. The number of devices you want to connect is also relevant. The OS6865 is available with 12, 16, and 28 ports, whereas the OS6465 only comes with 12.
We are happy to think along with you via sales@alcadis.nl or 030 – 65 85 125, so you can make a well-informed decision. We would like to highlight one series in particular: the OS6575. Compared to the OS6865, OS6465, OS6465T, and OS6465H, this series is—at the time of writing—not yet available for purchase and little has been published about it online. The following 3 OS6575 models are expected to hit the market in 2026:
|
OS6575-U28 - 20x 100/1000 BaseX SFP
|
OS6575-P12 - 8x 1G RJ45 90W PoE++
|
OS6575-MP16 - 4x 10/100 BaseT PoE D-code
