What is the Omada Fusion 2.5G Gateway?

The Fusion 2.5G is the latest addition to the Omada Fusion Gateway line and combines functions that are normally handled by separate hardware:

• A full-featured VPN gateway with multi-WAN support and auto-failover
• A built-in hardware controller for managing up to 30 Omada devices
• License-free cloud management via the Omada Cloud Portal and the Omada App
• A 2.51-inch color touchscreen for direct on-site monitoring and troubleshooting

This means you need fewer devices in smaller network environments, making the purchase very affordable!

Secure connection and fast switching

For sectors such as hospitality, education, and SMEs, the Fusion 2.5G offers extensive VPN capabilities, including WireGuard, OpenVPN, and IPsec. In addition, Omada LightLink VPN enables one-click external access via Smart Split Tunneling. This allows you to determine which traffic runs through the VPN and which traffic remains local. With Full Mesh SD-WAN, you can also connect up to 20 locations with direct interconnects. This makes the network scalable as your organization grows.

How does installation and management work?

Installation is done via Bluetooth and the Omada app. The app automatically detects other Omada devices in the network and adds them in bulk. This saves a lot of installation time for projects with multiple access points and switches. Once online, you can manage the network anywhere via the Omada Cloud Portal, without subscription fees. The touchscreen on the device provides direct insight into the network status and active clients, without the need to log in to an external dashboard.
