The pros and cons of Wi-Fi calling explained

Wi-Fi Calling is a technology that makes it possible to make calls via a Wi-Fi network instead of the mobile network or GSM. Today, Wi-Fi Calling can also be seamlessly deployed alongside Push-to-Talk over Cellular (PTToC) from TELOX. We explain when it is best to choose Wi-Fi Calling and what you need to pay attention to.

Why make calls via Wi-Fi?

• Better coverage in locations without LTE: in areas where mobile signals are weak, such as basements, warehouses, or buildings with thick walls, this makes a huge difference.
• Clear call quality: in environments with only 3G or 4G, Wi-Fi is more stable, resulting in less static and interruption.
