In the official datasheet for the TZ80, SonicWall describes the firewall as having “strong performance, better TCO.” The TZ80 has many of the same features as the Gen. 7 firewall, the TZ270, such as Capture ATP, SD-WAN, and DNS Filtering, but is much more affordable to align with the needs of small environments. The trade-off is that the TZ80 has fewer ports and lower throughput than its older sibling.
