Omada Campus: Omada kicks off 2026 with new 5000, 6000, and 7000 Enterprise Switches

January 7, 2026 - After a successful introduction at their SolutionsX Partner Event in September, Omada is further expanding their Enterprise Switch portfolio in Q1 2026 with 15 new switches. Specifically, the S7500-32C, S7500-48XF4C, S7500-26XF6Y, and S7500-24Y4C represent the absolute top-tier when it comes to switches at Omada.
Omada Campus in one sentence
Omada Campus is a switch family launched by Omada in 2026, with support for 10G, 25G, and 100G, focused on businesses, campuses, and internet service providers.
Layer 3 Lite
In addition to the current 6000 models, Omada is now introducing 5000 and 7000 models. The biggest difference between the 5000 and "higher" models is that the 5000 only supports Layer 3 Lite. Layer 3 Lite or Lite L3 consists only of RIP, OSPF, Static Routing, and DHCP Server/Relay. Do you have a medium-sized environment where built-in routing is desirable, but a full router is too complex? Then the 5000 series is perfect!

100G
The 7000 is characterized primarily as the only switch series from Omada that supports 100G. A useful feature if you want to work with AI/ML, Cloud Computing, and Big Data. Omada itself cites data centers as potential customers for the 7000. The 6000 is a step down, but still has support for 10G and 25G. More than enough for most environments, such as campuses and offices.

Which one should I choose?
With the introduction of the 5000 and 7000, there are now 3 flavors of Enterprise Switches from Omada. Each with its own qualities. Which one is best depends primarily on what you will be using it for. Do you need full Layer 3 but is 100G too much of a good thing? Then we recommend the 6000, for example.
