What is the difference between the EAP650 and the EAP670?

March 7, 2026 - Have you met the two latest additions to the Omada portfolio? Yes… not one, but two. The EAP650 is receiving a lot of attention, and for good reason: its compact size—the access point is roughly the size of a banana (!) —makes it ideal for many environments. At the same time, there is no compromise on performance. The sibling of the EAP650 is the EAP670. It is slightly larger, but still an excellent option!

The biggest difference between the EAP650 and the EAP670 can be seen on the 5 GHz band. On the 2.4 GHz band, the two APs match each other, but on the 5 GHz band, users of the EAP670 enjoy double the throughput of the EAP650. See the table below for the exact differences. With both products, you also benefit from seamless roaming, MU-MIMO, Omada Mesh, and a host of other technologies!
